My husband had come here for work dinners and was blown away so he wanted to have us enjoy it as well when we came here for vacation. We love Japanese food and since my older son will basically try anything that was a plus for us. My younger son, however is mostly a chicken nuggets and hotdogs kid. I know that kind of stuff isn't on the menu but I think that some teriyaki chicken skewers could go a long way for kids. It's more of an adult place but they have those elaborate activity books for kids so it might be good to have a few more kid friendly options. The black cod marinated in saikyo was eyes-roll-back delicious! It's that sauce that does it! The wagyu beef, the seabass, and the sushi were all max-delicious. I loved all the food and the ambiance was great. But something did feel a bit off about our experience. It felt like we spent $400+ on appetizers and we still needed to dig up some food afterwards because our kids were still hungry. Glad we saved half a Cuban sandwich from earlier plus a ton of hotel mini bar snacks. My mojito was good but it had a huge pile of shave ice on top which melted down and watered my drink down quite a bit. Less shave ice, let the flavors shine through. I think when you have a dress code, you have to be ready to impress in ALL areas. Can't leave anything out. I think for a date night with just my husband this would be more like 5 stars, but as a family dinner, it wasn't a perfect set up. Still, if you love sushi and Japanese food and have a sitter for the night, then yeah, definitely do Zuma. The sushi is amazing! (Also, if you're a wealthy older gentleman, this apparently your scene to meet a younger woman.)

One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Well worth its price tag. The service is always excellent and the vibes are unmatched. The wagyu roll with truffle has to be my favorite thing on the menu. Absolutely incredible.

Haven't been here in years and I forgot just HOW good it is. There are numerous fantastic restaurants in Miami, but this is by far my favorite. Incredible ambience, trendy music that isn't overwhelming, flawless service, and of course, the main attraction is their unbelievable menu. I haven't tried every single item, but every item that I HAVE tried is simply phenomenal. We ordered the sliced yellowtail, sliced seabass, roasted potato, sweet corn, 10 wagyu skirt steak, pork belly skewer, and the grilled scallop skewer (an absolute show stopper). We topped off the night with the crunchy hazelnut bar with a scoop of unique miso ice cream. Every dish is its own special experience and I look forward to coming back.

zuma miami has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the city. the ambiance is amazing--fun, elevated, and perfectly lively. the staff is always so friendly, from the waiters to the bartenders, which makes every visit even better. i've been several times in the past month, and every experience has been incredible. the drinks here are perfect. i love the ozaka spritzer, the lychee and rose petal martini, and the raspberry and passion fruit martini--each one is so well-balanced and delicious. for dinner, the miso black cod is beyond incredible. it has the most amazing flavor and texture and is cooked perfectly every time. i've also had the lobster tempura with avocado and black truffle roll, which was amazing--the truffle added such a rich depth of flavor.

5 stars all the way around. Food - I'm kicking myself because I can't remember the names of the sushi rolls I ordered, but they were all really good. See pics, and if it looks enticing, I'm sure you can show the pics to your waiter, and they'll be able to name it! I do remember their tequila shots presentation! The display provided an up-lighting with oranges (instead of limes) on the side. Service - Josè is an amazing bartender...personable, customer-oriented, friendly, knowledgeable. Ambiance - I love a dimly lit restaurant with subtle party vibes (think Kaytranada playing in the background). It was nice. It made you feel good. Definitely going back when in Miami!

Updating my review because my recent experience at Zuma truly deserves a standing ovation! I visited for Sunday brunch with a group of six, and at $140 per person, I was hoping for an exceptional experience--Zuma delivered beyond expectations! We arrived at 2 PM, were seated promptly, and welcomed with drinks of our choice. I opted for the Shojo Spritz (their twist on an Aperol Spritz), and it quickly became my go-to, flowing throughout the brunch. With a DJ spinning great hits and an overwhelming variety of bites, the entire ambiance was perfect. The food quality, flavors, and variety stole the show. While their buffet has shifted to a fully buffet-style format (no more à la carte entrées), it now allows you to try all the items from their à la carte menu. I was thrilled to enjoy both the tenderloin and the cod, which remains my absolute favorite. For dessert, if you've read my reviews, you know I always save room for sweets--Zuma didn't disappoint! They have an entire room dedicated to an array of incredible desserts, and I sampled nearly all of them. Each bite was outrageously delicious! This place is absolutely worth it!

TLDR: worth it for the spice lunch! Great vibes FOOD I came for Miami Spice lunch and at $35 for a nice restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised that I left full. You get more than 3 items since some items will automatically come on the house. While I don't think the karaage should've been called karaage (the flavors resembled Korean fried chicken if anything), it was my favorite dish. The truffle butter rice was also very filling and a good amount. For our mains, we got the salmon teriyaki and the baby chicken. While good, nothing I was super impressed with. I do want to note that if you do spice with someone else, they will combine your spice items together. My friend's water also had a bug in it, so be wary of flying bugs. SERVICE: super attentive and pleasant AMBIANCE: classy and pretty
